Some more shots from my lookbook for grey dog…sometimes all it takes is a simple silhouette with some sweet details to really make a statement. The structure of this white dress is phenomenal, it’s simple and to the point–definitely how I like most things.  This is my last full week of class (FOREVER) and I’m way too busy to even get sentimental just yet. Packing, moving back home, finals, graduation, vacation, and then New York. Trying to catch my breath, but I’m enjoying every chaotic/busy moment!

bodysuit: american apparel plunge back onzie pants: 80′s paisley high-waisted pants via grey dog head wrap: 60′s silk scarf head wrap clutch: vintage woven bow clutch sunglasses: vintage sunglasses {all items via grey dog } heels: Nine West Aroundtown Mary Jane Platforms {here} lips: opaque lipstick in ”Retrofuturist” c/o Lime Crime

I could seriously wear this look everyday: high-waist print trousers + body suit + platforms. Everyone needs a fun pair of printed pants in their wardrobe, the funkier the better…in my opinion. I definitely felt a little granny-chic in this entire outfit, in the best way of course! I mixed in some gold accents to accentuate the slight metallic sheen from these pants, turned a vintage scarf into a head wrap and voilà –a casual and fun little outfit.

Hope you are having a beautiful day!

Another trend I’m loving this season, which has carried over from last year: loud tropical prints that really pack a punch. Whether you’re vacationing at a resort in Maui or having your own getaway in your backyard, tropical motifs like these are sure to make you feel like you’re on your own private island sipping Mai Tais. Don’t be afraid to trade in your soft romantic florals for prints in bright colors. To avoid looking like a tourist, play around with mixing in some contrasting patterns like stripes and woven accessories (floppy sun hats, necklaces, bags, espadrilles).  Hurry up summer!

lady in red

Dress: 80′s red bondage mini Bag: 70′s lion-head woven bag Necklace: vintage chunky gold collar necklace Earrings: 70′s tropical square earrings  {all available at grey dog, a vintage boutique}

Red makes me feel powerful, like a force to be reckoned with. These are some photos from the grey dog {vintage boutique i work at} lookbook that I styled/modeled in. I’m currently in the process of packing+moving+finishing school+graduating, which for those of you who don’t know….right after graduation I’m moving to New York, fulfilling a goal I had from my sophomore year of college. I’ll be interning at Seventeen, which still feels like a dream.  It’s so surreal how things have worked out but I’m incredibly excited about this next chapter in my life. Have a great weekend!

Two things I’m currently obsessed with–crop tops + neons. Put them together for the ultimate playful look.

I’m one of those gals that puts on lipstick in the morning only to find that a few ours later, my dorky self has accidently licked it off. So when Lime Crime sent me some of their boldest colors of opaque lipstick, I was ready for something new. My favorite so far? This  neon pink called Countessa Fluorescent. When I put it on not only did it smell delicious but it went on creamy and stayed on all day. My boyfriend said I had Nicki Minaj lips which I took as the ULITIMATE compliment…in terms of lip colors.
