My trip back home is quickly coming to a wrap, and it went by way too fast. But every minute spent with friends and my sweet family has been such a recharge that was much needed. I’ve been “rollin’ with my homies”, meaning that I’ve been longboarding with my fiancé and little brothers these past two weeks. Not that I’m an expert, but I’m pretty impressed that my accident prone self has been able to ride it. And yes, girls can wear skirts and longboard!
Here’s a little snippet of what i do as a freelance assistant stylist. My fiancé did this video for a project and it came out pretty neat and briefly portrayed what i do behind the scenes when I’m on set. When the shoot is over, when all the models are gone, when the racks of clothes, glitzy jewelry and mountains of shoes are packed away–it can feel like i’m living in a blurry dream. But at the end of the day when it all sinks in–I’m finding my way in NYC, going after my dream while discovering something new everyday, and doing what I love most.

If you’re following me through instagram {if not, you should be now} you know I’m back down south visiting family and friends for a bit. It’s definitely a much needed break from city living, and even though I love seeing friends and spending time with my family I’m ready to see what NYC has in store for me next.
Being back home, I’ve been pulling out my fall/winter clothes to take back with me and I’ve already been transitioning my wardrobe for cooler temperatures. Fall means its time to pull out my favorite tights and oversized cardigans, and I couldn’t have been more happy to pull out my over knee socks to pair with this quirky little bird printed piece from Bebop. I’m a big fan of novelty printed dresses especially when they have a vintage inspired silhouette like this one. Hope you are all enjoying your week!
The By Misha S/S ’13 presentation was as adorable and sweet as the designer, Misha Vaidya–who presented a stellar collection during NYFW. The collection was delicately feminine and charming with dreamlike fabrics, soft pleats, and romantic necklines that looked like they had fallen right out of a fairy portal. Swoon-worthy right?
i’m a big fan of printed pants, especially when they’re as comfortable as pajama pants. what can i say, when it comes to clothes i’m a no-fuss kind of gal and being comfy is essential–especially if i plan on walking around the city and exploring. in other news… later this week i’m headed back home for a visit and i am BEYOND excited!!
