Welcome to my new and improved blog! What do you guys think? I finally made the switch to WordPress & I’m loving it. I designed the site and Doug worked his magic to make it come to life, but bear with me as I continue to work out any little kinks & improve.
I’ve missed blogging so much, but decided that this time around I would try some new things with more of a focus. I started noticing that every day I tend to base my outfits off of something I’m inspired by at that moment, it makes dressing up that much more fun. Even when I’m feeling lazy, I’m inspired by comfort & functionality.
I found this dress in Santa Monica at Wasteland Clothing (plan on wanting to stay here for hours ) while on vacation a few weeks ago. I fell in love with the warm colors and the cut-out back. In the south, the heat is relentless & dressing can get pretty tricky. I mean, in order to stay cool you want to wear the least amount of clothing as possible but still remain decent & ladylike–or at least I do!
Do you remember those jelly candy slices that most likely your grandma gave you? The ones that are sprinkled with sugar and tend to get stuck to your teeth? Well I had an insatiable craving for those when I saw this dress and boom! End of story– I was inspired by 50¢ candy! See the color palette for this outfit here.
See, inspiration can be found in anything and everything. It makes getting dressed a lot more fun too!
